  • The service is provided free of charge to the end user. The online program is supported by manufacturers through a nominal charge for listing their products.

    3. How do I access this service?

  • The service is accessed through our online web site at www.GreenerProduct.com and can be reached 24 hours a day seven days a week.

    4. Can anybody use the Greener Product, LLC service?

  • Yes. Although the service is designed for LEED professionals, architects and builders the information is available to everyone including manufacturer's customers, sales force, distributors, retailers, builders and the general public.

    5. How does it work?

  • The Greener Product, LLC platform is very easy to use, is a great time saver and greatly simplifies the search for LEED qualified building products. Users select a product category and let Greener Product, LLC do all the work. Then evaluate that products against the approved standards and publish your report with all the supporting documentation. It’s as easy as 1 – 2 -3. Finish.

    6. How are products evaluated?

  • Products are selected against the internationally recognized LEED standards as established by the US government under the Green Building Council. LEED is recognized by the Federal government as the standard for green building projects in schools, commercial buildings, hospitals, etc. In addition LEED is now being recognized as the “green building” standard for new home construction.

    7. How do I know that the reported products that are “really green”?

  • The search result provides detailed information on products that have been tested and reviewed by Independent 3rd party certifiers. In many cases the products are laboratory tested and certified by organization such as the non-profit Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), California Air Resource Boards (CARB), Blue Angel, Greenguard (Air Quality, Schools), and others. The Greener Product, LLC documentation includes all applicable laboratory test results, copies of certificates and other supporting information necessary to obtain credits as required under the LEED program.

    8. Will anyone contact me after I register?

  • No, your information is held in confidence by Greener Product, LLC in accordance with our privacy policy and will not be shared unless you would like to be contacted.

    9. Can new manufacturers have their products listed on the Greener Product, LLC site?

  • Yes. This normally takes 2-4 week from the time the agreement is concluded. After that manufacturers can easily update present or additional products.

    10. How is the Greener Product, LLC service promoted to architects, builders and designers specfiers?

  • The service is actively promoted to LEED AP's, architects and builders through national and regional trade shows, trade publications, blogs, social sites, testimonials, online search engines.
